is the Association which networks together Geography Teacher
Associations from across Europe. EUROGEO has members located

EUROGEO
is a European, non-governmental, non-profit organisation which
was established in 1979 as the European Standing Conference
of Geography Teachers' Associations. In 1989 EUROGEO
was granted official consultative status with the Council
of Europe. This was upgraded in 2004 to become full participatory
status.
The
mission of EUROGEO is to promote the European
dimension in geographical education in the countries of Europe.
It does this by cooperating with organisations and bodies at
European level, organising conferences and other events and
promoting research and analysis.
EUROGEO seeks to support national associations
by:
* lobbying at European and national level
* identifying and promoting good practise
* giving advice and making recommendations
* organising events and other activities for members
